Solitaire engagement rings are the go-to style in simple engagement rings. A simple solitaire engagement ring is refined and modern. A solitaire setting refers to any piece of jewelry with a single diamond. Here, the beauty of the center diamond is showcased in a simple yet striking band style. Solitaire engagement rings can be set with any diamond shape. They can be set with a bezel setting, or prong setting featuring four prongs, six prongs, or double prongs.

The Pavè shank
A pave engagement ring is a great choice if you love subtle sparkle. Pave style rings are set with accent diamonds leading to the center stone. (pave is from the French “to pave”). These diamonds are held in place with metal prongs or beads, creating the appearance of a line of continuous small diamonds. Rows of pave are an elegant take on a simple engagement ring design.

A halo design is another great simple engagement ring option. A delicate halo surrounding your center diamond gives the appearance of a much larger diamond. It also adds additional support and security for those with an active lifestyle. The second most popular engagement ring style, the halo engagement ring — in which the center stone is encircled by accent diamonds, like an angel’s halo — adds sparkle while maintaining a classic elegance. When paired with a plain-shank band, the look is simple and classic.

Three Stone Rings
Another popular style for simple engagement rings are three stone rings. Three-Stone rings feature two side diamonds that accentuate the size and brilliance of the center diamond. There are a few different meanings behind the three stone engagement ring, but the most popular is the representation of the past, present, and future. Each stone represents a different time in your relationship and the commitment and love you’ve had, have, and will continue to have throughout your marriage.
